Judd Trump World Snooker Championship Semi Final

Ding Junhui and Judd Trump’s World Snooker Championship semi final match will feature two of snooker most promising young players. Ding Junhui may have the experience over Judd Trump but the 21 year old has remained composed and focused in the competition so far.

World snooker ranking number 5, Ding Junhui is favourite to win the match against Trump who is ranked 24 but it really could go either way. Judd Trump achieved his first win in the World Snooker ranking event, the 2011 China Open, early this month and knocked out Neil Robertson, winner of last year’s World Snooker Championship in the first round.

   Too close to call. Judd’s the man on form so for my money is marginal favourite, but Ding is has been world class for a number of year’s although he has never been quite the same player since the disgraceful match against O’Sullivan a few years ago where he was intimidated by the crowd (and, disgracefully, the match officials did nothing to prevent it). Judd by a frame, then.

   I believe that beating Ding will be a step too far for Judd. The fact that Judd has not really been tested during his last two matches coupled with this being the semi-final of the biggest tournament there is may prove a match too far for the youngster.

   Just my opinion.

   It should be a great match, even though Trump is the underdog he has been playing good lately, I like to see the underdog win once in a while.
