John Higgins Final Frame Decider

John Higgins progressed to the quarter finals of the World Snooker Championship after grinding out a win against Rory McLeod 13 frames to 7.

John Higgins and Rory McLeod failed to wow the crowds with great snooker in a match that last over 8 hours and helped snooker fans around the world drift off to sleep. The 20 frame match featured only 7 breaks above 50 with neither player managing to chalk up a century. The highest break came in the 14th frame where John Higgins managed a break 80. A poor performance from the World number one but enough to clinch the victory.

Let’s hope he’s in better form for the World Snooker Championship quarter finals where he’ll play the winner of the second round match between Ronnie O’Sullivan and Shaun Murphy.
