Mark Allen beat Barry Hawkins in the second round of the World Snooker Championship in a final frame decider. Barry Hawkins made a poor break off shot in the final frame of the match which gave Mark Allen the opportunity to get amongst the balls. Mark Allen took full advantage of the mistake and clocked up a frame and match winning 96 break.

Mark Allen will now play Mark Williams in the World Snooker Championship quarter finals. The two players last met in the Champions League winners group and played between the 23rd and 24th of March, Mark Williams was able to win that match 3-0 and looks favourite for the quarter final after a confident display in his second round match against Jamie Cope.
