Marco Fu destroyed Peter Ebdon in the quarter final of The Masters 6-0. After knocking out Ali Carter and showing good form Ebdon will be bitterly disappointed to have suffered a whitewash at the hands of Fu. The results sets up a Marco Fu v Mark Allen semi final match.

Marco Fu produced breaks of 91, 80 and 107 to end the first session 4-0 leaving Ebdon shell-shocked. Matters didn’t improve for Ebdon after the interval as Marco Fu won the two frames needed to wrap up the victory. Peter Edbon was feeling unwell but he’ll still be very displeased with his performance at the Wembley arena. The quarter final whitewash lasted just two hours and the highest break Ebdon was able to muster was a woeful 39.

Marco Fu will play Northern Ireland’s Mark Allen in the semi-final where he can expect tougher opposition from a player who’s already dispatched Ronnie O’Sullivan and Mark Selby to progress to the semi final.
