Shaun Murphy Players Tour Championship Grand Final Victory

Shaun Murphy claimed victory in the inaugural Players Tour Championship grand final in Dublin against Martin Gould 4-0.

Shaun Murphy was at the top of the order of merit after playing in all 12 small tournaments while potential favourites such as Ronnie O’Sullivan were absent for parts of the competition and therefore ineligible.

Nonethless, Shaun Murphy thoroughly deserved to win the PTC Grand final in Dublin and his prize winnings of £60,000. However, Martin Gould will be disappointed not have made a better account of himself in the final having beaten the likes of Mark Selby on his way to the final.

Shaun Murphy v Martin Gould Frame Scores

  • 70-18
  • 66-46
  • 59-44
  • 51-34
